Shandong is a province with relatively concentrated oil refineries, and the number of oil refineries accounts for 70% of the country.
There are about 10,000 gas stations in the province. Central enterprises such as Sinopec, PetroChina and CNOOC account for about 4,000, and private enterprises account for about 6,000.
From the perspective of the province, under normal conditions, the supply of refined oil exceeds demand.
In 2018 Shandong Refined Oil Retail Industry Association (RORI) was established to meet this demand.
How to smoothly resolve the excess production capacity is taken as a top priority by the Association. The Association is actively coordinating resources from other provinces, making arrangements in advance, and seeking assistance in order to promptly turn the disadvantages into Advantage.
